Understanding Military Time Format

In military time format, the day is divided into 24 hours, starting from midnight (00:00) and ending at midnight (24:00).

Conversion from Standard Time to Military Time

To convert standard time to military time:

- Remove the ":" separating hours and minutes.

For example:    

- Standard Time:

01 :25 PM   

- Military Time:

0125  

- Add leading zeros if needed.

When military time consists of four digits, leading zeros may be required. For example:   

- Standard Time:

9:15 AM    

- Military Time:

0915

Conversion from Military Time to Standard Time

To convert military time to standard time:

- Insert a ":" between hours and minutes.

Split the four-digit military time and insert ":" after the first two numbers. For example:    

- Military Time:

1530  

- Standard Time:

3:30 PM
